SIEM REAP IN A NUTSHELL

SIEM REAP IN A NUTSHELL

After a 6 hour road trip from Bangkok to Siem Reap and arrived in the evening, I’d never thought before Siem Reap is more developed and cleaner than villages we passed along the journey from Poipet. A touristy city , small and enough to get around on foot or bicycle, clean, tuk-tuks, markets and locals speak good English are my first impression in this Angkor Wat city. Then, The journey begins

Hagelslag, Drop & the Dutch

Besides Raw Herring, the Dutch has another unique concept on bread. Meanwhile the rest of the world eat bread topped with peanut butter, jam, Nutella, butter and slices of tomatoes or bacon, honey or salad. The Dutch eats bread topped with Hagelslag. What is HAGELSLAG??

Not a Tourist, but a Visa Runner

I often heard this slogan ; ‘I am not a tourist I am a traveler’. Because I am an anti-mainstream person, I asked myself, so, what am I then ?? Am I tourist or traveler ?? I understand there’s no need to argue between Tourist or Traveler, why bother labelling whether we’re a tourist or traveler that make us a Travel Snob. It depends on your preference and lifestyle. At the end of the day, we’re all a tourist, traveler will always be a tourist in immigration.

Overland Route Bangkok to Siem Reap

Overland from Bangkok to Siem Reap is part of my Indochina road trip in 2013 where I started my journey from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh without stopping over at the airport. Passing through 2,708 km Southeast Asia by land and got 5 different country stamps on my passport, urrgh, how I miss that moment.
