Bandung in a Nutshell

"Hello Bandung, long time no see you." That’s my unspoken Greeting to this city after my last visit almost 6 years ago. I lived in Jakarta for 5 years and a weekend getaway to Bandung was common things for us who live in Jakarta. My 2016's impression toward Bandung, it is extremely different from many years ago. Today's Bandung is polluted, not as cold as it used to be, and .. crazy traffic jam here and there, almost similar to Jakarta. Why of why, Bandung.. Don't you know, you used to be my favorite Indonesian city, well, maybe because at that time, I was still young and loved shopping. But then, things changed as I get older.

The Best Spots to Capture Singapore’s Skyline

Back then in 2005, My friend and I used to be a foreign student in Singapore. On the weekend, we were so lazy to go back home because nobody who greeted us, alone abroad and we just killed the time around Esplanade waiting for sunrise, sleeping on the roof with a million stars. And ten years ago, this futuristic architecture from Marina Bay Sands, Garden By the Bay, Art Science Museum, Helix Bridge, Jubilee Bridge and Singapore Flyer, they never exist until 2009 and 2010.

Foodporn in Krabi

I traveled to Krabi, Thailand in wet season. It might be very depressing when you visit a place with beautiful beaches but the dark cloud always blanketed the sky. There was no sunbathing or playing with water on the beach, the worst thing was no blue sky and the sun at all. Actually, besides disturbing for Photography, bad weather is not really a BIG deal for me. Luckily, I’m not a beach person and Krabi is not only beaches, limestone mountain, diving, numerous caves and waterfalls, hiking.

Funny Graphics & Texts on The Road

Discovering ‘awesome’ texts and graphics while traveling abroad might be one of my favorite activity. My Visual Communication background teaches me to be aware or critical to typography, logo, mascot or whatever object I meet surrounds me. I see simple things closely and love to analyze them, secretly critiquing on café menu, signs, billboard, ads or whatever catch my eyes. I collect catchy signs and I feel guilty if I never share them to the blog sphere

A Coffee Addict on The Road

My days must be started with a cup of coffee. Otherwise, It might be a mistake. If I didn’t get a coffee before noon, I’d feel very depresso and wrong. Wherever I go and travel I drink multiple cups of hot coffee everyday. I’d love to taste local coffee. Life is very beautiful every time I sip my coffee, tell me I’m not the only one. I believe my fellow coffee addict around the world can relate to this !!!

Unique Architecture in the Netherlands

A 40 meter hight water tower and the oldest of Utrecht (1896). It's now a museum about water, but the tower still plays a role in the water supply of the city centre.

Mural in The Netherlands

Mural in The Netherlands

When I was in the Netherlands, I was fascinated by so many beautiful murals in each city. For example, I stayed in Utrecht city for 2 weeks, on my first day being there I found several murals on the corner of the road which I think it’s very cool when a city or country really appreciate work of art. Speaking of paintings, Holland is well-known for her world-famous painters since
